The WiPa DGS system is a significant update of the agglomeration process with better output characteristics by using less energy. The system is available in two different versions “DGS eco” for simple recycling applications and “DGS advanced” for the highest demands on the output material. Both versions can be integrated into existing WiPa Plast Compactor systems.

Advantages of the DGS compared to a standard agglomeration process:

  • regular output material shape
  • more exact dosing due to improved flow property
  • approx. 30% less energy consumption
  • better degassing of the material
  • possibility to add fillers and additives to create compounds or master batches
  • higher bulk density
  • continuous process
  • filtration is available
  • 3 phase degassing (1 atmospherical, 2 vaccum)
  • throughput capacity from 150kg/h up to 16.000kg/h
  • no dust in output material


Advantages of the DGS system compared to extruding systems with a cutting compactor:

  • high residual moisture can be processed without pre-drying (up to 25%)
  • bulky materials with a low flowability which are difficult to dose can be processed 
  • minor thermal degradation of the material
